Burns, a team leader with 1st Platoon, Company K, 3rd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, and a Bloomington, Ind., native, practices walking downhill in snowshoes at the Allied Training Center here, March 9. Company K was in Norway March 4-24 for Exercise Cold Response 2012. The multinational invitational event focused on rehearsing conventional-warfare operations in winter conditions and exercising interoperability with the NATO allies.
