Carter, a driver with Company K, 3rd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, and a Frankfort, Ind., native, straps on his snowshoes at the Allied Training Center here, March 9. Company K was in Norway March 4-24 for Exercise Cold Response 2012. The multinational invitational event focused on rehearsing conventional-warfare operations in winter conditions and exercising interoperability with the NATO allies.
