GULF OF ALASKA (September 10, 2019) – Sailors assigned to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45) conduct small boat operations prior to arriving in Kodiak, Alaska as part of Arctic Expeditionary Capabilities Exercise (AECE) 2019. AECE is a joint exercise that features Sailors and Marines working side-by-side as they test joint expeditionary force logistical transfer capabilities in the Arctic environment.
