YOKOSUKA, Japan (Sept. 9, 2019) – Workers assigned to Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Far East work to clear a tree brought down by Typhoon Faxai, a storm with winds of more than 124 miles per hour that made landfall over Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY). CFAY provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and 27,000 military and civilian personnel.
