A Bird Aircraft Strike Hazard (BASH) cannon at the 424th Air Base Squadron in Chièvres, Belgium, deters wildlife from the area using predator recordings and propane-fueled sound blasts. 424th ABS Airfield Management is responsible for ensuring runway safety by clearing wildlife and other hazards to enable aircraft to take off or land at a moment's notice.
