Freeman took four hours out of his day to teach the Marines proper cooking techniques. The food service Marines are participating in Balikatan 2012 as part of Task Force Palawan. BK12 is an annual bilateral training exercise designed to build the joint interoperability between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the U.S. military. Freeman is an executive chef and owner of Blue Ginger. MWSS-172 is with Marine Wing Support Group 17, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
