190821-N-FO574-1074 SANTA MARTA, Colombia (Aug. 21, 2019) Sierra Stout, a physical therapist with Global Outreach Doctors, embarked with the hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20), explains the importance of weight-bearing exercises and the positive impact they will have on four-year-old Jonathan, who has cerebral palsy, during a physical therapy session at a temporary medical treatment site. Comfort is working with health and government partners in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean to provide care on the ship and at land-based medical sites, helping to relieve pressure on national medical systems strained by an increase in Venezuelan migrants.
