Deployed here in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Spc. Adrianne Snyder, of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 14th Combat Engineer Battalion, put together fundraising efforts in support of the wounded soldiers in her unit. The event culminated with a 10K-run April 28 on Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. In all, more than 300 participants turned out for the event, raising more than $13,000 that will go to helping injured soldiers and their families travel to Joint Base Lewis-McChord for the unit's welcome home ceremony.
