Members of the Mehlville Fire Department responded to a simulated helicopter crash at Jefferson Barracks Air National Guard Base, Mo. for a Mass Accident Response Exercise Aug. 16, 2019. Guardsmen immediately jumped into action, providing self-aid and buddy care techniques and triage to injured victims, but relied on firefighters and Emergency Medical Services to provide care and transport for the more seriously injured.
