Armed Forces of the Philippine, U.S. military and local Philippine health care workers joined capabilities to assist local community members with vision testing and, if needed, free new eye glasses during a medical civic assistance project at Inagawan Sub Barangay, Palawan, Republic of the Philippines, April 11, 2012 as a part of Exercise Balikatan 2012. BK12 is an annual bilateral training exercise that builds the joint humanitarian and disaster relief capabilities of Philippine and U.S. military forces through humanitarian civic assistance projects, a disaster relief command post exercise and combined air, ground and maritime training operations.
