United States Army Capt. Francis Nahm, general dental officer, 618th Dental Company, 65th Medical Brigade, and Armed Forces of the Philippines Lt. Col. Renato L. Alwiva, commanding officer of the dental dispensary, 570t CTW PH Air Force, work bilaterally to extract a tooth from a local community member during a medical civic assistance project at Inagawan Sub Barangay, Palawan, April 11, 2012 as a part of Exercise Balikatan 2012. BK12 is an annual bilateral training exercise that builds the joint humanitarian and disaster relief capabilities of Philippine and U.S. military forces through humanitarian civic assistance projects, a disaster relief command post exercise and combined air, ground and maritime training operations.
