David Poppick, 61st Preventive Medicine Detachment fills a beaker with water taken from a potable water source in an Austrian Liaison Monitoring Team house in Multinational Battle Group – West area of operations in Kosovo, Aug. 8. Testing for chlorine in the water will indicate by the presence of bacteria, and the chlorine helps disintegrate the bacteria. Clean water is paramount for soldiers to perform their missions.
