190809-N-UN744-0063 - MINDELO, Cabo Verde (Aug. 9, 2019) - Members of the U.S. Coast Guard Tactical Law Enforcement Detachment Pacific, embarked aboard the Spearhead-class expeditionary fast transport ship USNS Carson City (T-EPF 7), departing the Damen Stan Patrol 5009-class vessel Guardiao (P 511) with members of the Cabo Verde coast guard to run visit, board, search and seizure drills in the bay of Mindelo, Cabo Verde, Aug. 9, 2019. Carson City is deployed to the Gulf of Guinea to demonstrate progress through partnerships and U.S. commitment to West African countries through small boat maintenance assistance, maritime law enforcement engagement, and medical and community relations outreach.
