    Col. James Smith, 50th Space Wing commander, cuts the ribbon with retired Lt. Col. Brett Schriever to officially open the Bennie’s Breakroom at Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado, Aug. 6, 2019. Schriever is the son of the base’s namesake, Gen. Bernard “Bennie” Schriever, considered the father of space and missiles.
