190726-M-HB658-1166 ARABIAN GULF (July 26, 2019) Coast Guardsmen with Maritime Security Response Team East, Advanced Interdiction Team Detachment 1, fast rope onto the amphibious transport dock ship USS John P. Murtha (LPD 26) from an MH-60S Sea Hawk with Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 26 during a training exercise. The Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit are deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
