Patrick Neprup, ship’s Operations officer, conducts a tour of the guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111) for Gold Star families during Seattle Fleet Week. The Gold Star program recognizes the sacrifice all family members make when a parent, sibling, child, or other loved one dies in service to the nation. Seattle Fleet Week 2019 is a time-honored celebration of the sea services and provides an opportunity for the citizens of Washington to meet Sailors and Coast Guardsmen, as well as witness firsthand the latest capabilities of today's maritime services.
