SELFRIDGE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Mich.-- Michigan Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist II, Maj. Gen. Leonard Isabelle, commander of the Michigan Air National Guard, Brig. Gen. Rolf Mammen, commander 127th Wing and Selfridge Air National Guard Base, shake hands with service members as they deplane here on July 24, 2019. More than 200 Airmen of the 127th Wing returned home after a deployment of up to six months in Kandahar, Afghanistan. They are assigned to the 127th Maintenance Group, 127th Operations Group and 127th Mission Support Groups here. Overall, 127th Wing Airmen executed approximately 1,100 sorties in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel, Operation Inherent Resolve and Operation Spartan Shield during their time overseas.
