Brig. Gen. Charles Chiarotti, the deputy commander for Marine Forces Europe and Africa, conducted a site visit and observed Peace Support Operations training with the 14th Marine Regiment out of Fort Worth, Texas, and the Royal Moroccan Military in Tifnit, Morocco, April 13. He took the time to recognize a Moroccan soldier for his leadership during the training. The training was designed to increase familiarity between the two countries and strengthen their ability to respond to crisis as well as promote stability during exercise African Lion 2012.
