Capt. Robert Palisin, deputy department head for the sea warfare and weapons department at the Office of Naval Research, times students from Owens Valley Community High School as they guide their SeaPerch through an underwater obstacle course during the ONR-sponsored National SeaPerch Challenge at the Manassas Park Community Center in Manassas, Va. The SeaPerch program provides students with the opportunity to learn about robotics, engineering, science, and mathematics while building the underwater remotely operated vehicle as part of a science and engineering technology curriculum.
