Vice Adm. David Architzel, commander of Naval Air Systems Command, and Rear Adm. Matthew Klunder, chief of Naval Research, visit with Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School students from Baltimore, Md., during the Office of Naval Research-sponsored National SeaPerch Challenge at the Manassas Park Community Center in Manassas, Va. Seventy teams, comprised of high school and middle school students, from around the country competed in the program which provides students with the opportunity to learn about robotics, engineering, science, and mathematics while building the underwater remotely operated vehicle as part of a science and engineering technology curriculum.
