James Redd, assigned to the 174th Air Defense Artillery, renders a hand salute to the Romanian Minister of National Defense Gabriel-Beniamin Leș during his visit to the Naval Support Facility Deveselu July 17, 2019. The minister and U.S. Ambassador to Romania, Hans Klemm, toured the Aegis Ashore Ballistic Missile Defense System(AABMDS) and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) site during their visit to see first-hand how the systems are integrated into the NATO ballistic missile defense architecture for the southern European region.
