A naval warship, consistent with a U.S. Navy Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer, is firing its forward-mounted 5-inch (127mm) Mk 45 naval gun during what appears to be a live-fire exercise at sea. A large cloud of white-gray propellant smoke is visible at the muzzle, and a projectile splash can be seen in the water to the right of the vessel. The sky is overcast and the sea conditions appear calm.
