(July 8, 2019) Tim Sullivan, a member of a group of former Sailors from St. Louis, shows a photo on his phone of members of their group posing with their recruit division commander after they graduated boot camp. The group of former Sailors maintained friendship since graduating boot camp together and made arrangements to visit RTC on the 50-year anniversary of their ship date to boot camp, July 8, 1969. More than 35,000 recruits train annually at the Navy's only boot camp. The photo is black and white to recreate the historical nature of the subject matter.
