Seaman Tao Ren, attached to USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52) patrols the bay waters of Vasco Nunez de Balboa where Panamanian ship Servicio Maritimo Nacional (SMN) A-401 Independencia and USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52) are moored along side of one another prior to the commencement of PANAMAX 2007 in Panama, Aug. 28. Civil and military forces from 20 countries will participate in PANAMAX 2007, a U.S. Southern Command joint and multi-national training exercise co-sponsored with the Government of Panama, in the waters off the coasts of Panama and Honduras.
