190628-N-DZ642-1031 MANTA, Ecuador (June 28, 2019) Aviation Structural Mechanic 3rd Class Riley John, from Portland, Oregon, assigned to the “Dragon Whales” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 28 aboard hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20), performs an eye exam on a patient at a temporary medical treatment site. Comfort is working with health and government partners in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean to provide care on the ship and at land-based medical sites, helping to relieve pressure on national medical systems strained by an increase in Venezuelan migrants.
