Military personnel in camouflage uniforms are working alongside a civilian to move or position a large white wooden bridge or ramp structure using a red telescopic handler/crane vehicle. The operation is taking place on an open grassy field under overcast, stormy skies. Additional soldiers in the background appear to be handling black matting or track material on the ground.

Airmen from the 23d Civil Engineer Squadron and the 93d Air Ground Operations Wing build a path for a telehandler, June 5, 2019, in Sainte-Mère-Église, France. The engineers provided structural support for the Commemoration of D-Day 75 by repairing and building bridges that were used to access hard-to-reach areas of a parachute drop zone. As part of the commemoration, parachutists from across the Department of Defense performed the same jumps their predecessors did on D-Day. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Hayden Legg)
