    1st Squadron, 89th Cavalry Regiment

    Pfc. Jessica Thiel, a medic with the 210th Brigade Support Battalion, attached to the 1st Squadron, 89th Cavalry Regiment, assists a patient during training at the Joint Readiness Training Center, March 27. 1-89th Cav. deployed to JRTC with the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (LI), to assist in training hundreds of members of Security Force Assistance Teams. The SFATs will be deploying to Afghanistan to advise and assist Afghanistan's police and military to facilitate the transition of the country's security to them.
