Hinges connect individual floating segments of a pontoon bridge spanning the Danube River, constructed by Romanian Armed Forces in conjunction with the U.S. Army, on June 21, 2019, in Bordusani, Romania for Saber Guardian 19. They ensure the bridge has enough flexibility to provide the most stable support for crossing troops and vehicles.
Saber Guardian 19 is an exercise co-led by the Romanian Joint Force Command and U.S. Army Europe, taking place from June 3-24 at various locations in Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania. Saber Guardian 19 is designed to improve the integration of multinational combat forces.
