Soldiers of the North Carolina National Guard's 690th Brigade Support Battalion, 30th Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT), conduct rail operations this June at Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, Yermo Annex, California. The Soldiers of the unit offloaded the 30th ABCT's heavy equipment for their rotation at NTC without injury or loss in temperatures of over 100 degrees Fahrenheit in the face of wind gusts of nearly 50 miles per hour in the California desert.
