Paul Kelly, an avid handcyclist, makes his way to the start line of Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point's 13th annual half marathon Saturday. Kelly says people always ask him why he attaches an American flag to his handcycle. "I always hear the flag creates aerodynamic drag. But the truth is no matter where I go, the flag is really carrying me," he said.
