The image shows a tall steel border barrier consisting of closely spaced vertical metal bollards or slats extending across the full width of the frame. The structure appears to be in or near a desert environment, with sandy, disturbed ground in the foreground. Two small survey or marker stakes are visible in the foreground, suggesting ongoing or recent construction activity.

The border barrier project in Yuma continues with the replacement of existing barrier with steel bollard barrier filled with rebar and concrete. The barriers installed on this section are 30 feet above the ground. Bollards are four inches apart to allow Border Patrol to see through to the other side of the border. Each bollard extends several feet into the ground to counter digging attempts.
