Bataan Memorial March held in Kuwait

Soldiers proudly carried their unit colors as they took part in the 15th Annual Bataan Memorial March at Camp Virginia, Kuwait on March 3, 2012, hosted by the 1-194 CAB “Battling Bastards,” who are deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation New Dawn, the final phase of post combat operations in Iraq. The 1-194 CAB traces its lineage to the 194th Tank Regiment, which fought bravely in the Philippines during World War II before being captured as Prisoners of War and forced into the infamous Bataan Death March. More than 1,000 service members and civilians came together to honor those soldiers who were part of the Bataan Death March during World War II. (US Army Photo by Staff Sgt. Alan Graham)
