Chief Petty Officer Dwight J. Ott, a hospital corpsman, shakes hands with Col. Tomoyuki Hagi here, March 12, during exercise Forest Light 12-2. The purpose of Forest Light 12-2 is to increase interoperability between U.S. and Japanese forces while enhancing individual and unit-level cold weather skills. Ott is a corpsman with Combat Logistics Regiment 35, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force. Hagi is the commanding officer for the 4th Infantry Regiment, 5th Brigade, JGSDF.
