Staff Sgt. Benjamin Seekell talks to 9th Air Force Outstanding Professional of the Year program attendees about his experience as a Wounded Warrior at the Carolina Skies Club, Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., March 21, 2012. The Wounded Warrior program helps service members who have combat or hostile-related injuries or illnesses receive professional support and care from the point of injury, through separation or retirement, for life. Seekell, a military working dog handler for the 4th Fighter Wing Security Forces Squadron, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C., lost the lower part of his left leg while serving in Afghanistan in 2011.
