Killian, a motor vehicle operator with Combat Logistics Battalion 8, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, ensures his cargo is properly strapped to his trailer at the start of a long-range convoy in Wilmington, N.C., March 12, 2012. The troops drove more than 1,000 miles during a six-day exercise in order to test the battalion’s mission essential tasks, which consisted of basic warrior skills, recovery procedures, distribution and repairs, as well as evacuation techniques and motor vehicle operations.
