Staff Sgt. Bernard Coyne, of Woonsocket, R.I., received the Bronze Star Medal with Combat Distinguishing Device during a ceremony aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., March 16. Coyne is an explosive ordnance disposal technician attached to 2nd EOD Company, 2nd Marine Logistics Group and was decorated for heroic actions during his 2011 deployment to Afghanistan.
