Sgt. John Sai, the team captain of the Combat Logistics Battalion 3 team, holds up their Pacific Division Finn Trophy at an awards presentation for the Pacific Division Matches, Feb. 27. Participants of the Pacific Division Matches gathered at The Officers’ Club for awards, including “high tyro” for both rifle and pistol, the overall winners of the rifle and pistol matches, and the recipients of the Pacific Division Smith Trophy and Pacific Division Finn Trophy. One Marine was chosen as the “first leather,” whose score is the closest to the medalists’ scores, and there are 19 medals awarded in both the rifle and pistol matches. Approximately 200 competitors competed in the annual Pacific Division Matches at Puuloa Range Training Facility throughout February.
