Airmen from 2nd Communications Squadron cable and antenna maintenance attach an Aircraft Alerting Communications Electromagnetic pulse antenna on the bottom portion of the tower in front of the 2nd Civil Engineer Squadron building on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Feb. 28. The AACE antenna sends out emergency messages to aircraft in the event that other communication devices are disabled.
