The soldier is practicing Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) procedures using an open medical kit. An observer or evaluator is partially visible in the upper right corner, and an orange traffic cone marks the training lane.

Staff Sgt. Japheth Edwards, 16th Ordnance Battalion, 59th Ordnance Brigade, writes a casualty report May 22. CASCOM Best Warrior competitors completed land navigation, situational training exercises, and a 12-mile ruck march in their quest to represent the command. CASCOM Best Warrior competition started May 20 to May 23. The top Soldier and NCO will compete at the Training and Doctrine Command competition in July.
