Maj. Gen Garshak mingles with community members after the unveiling of the statue at Patriot Field. Idaho Governor Brad Little and Idaho National Guard Commander Maj. Gen. Michael Garshak joined the community of Blackfoot, Idaho in the unveiling and dedication of a statue at Bingham County Patriot Field to begin the Memorial Day Weekend rememberence. Patriot Field Memorial Park was built and dedicated in 2016. The nearly two acre park with nine flag poles, walking paths and memorial wall is a tribute to the veterans of Bingham County. The park is located in Blackfoot, Idaho. Patriot Field was created to be a place of reflection, an inspiration for freedom, and a legacy for future generations.The Patriot Field Honor Project honors Idaho Veteran's who have served in the military.
