190519-N-IK871-1194 ARABIAN SEA (May 19, 2019) Lance Cpl. Kohl Kadinger, assigned to the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), fast-ropes from an MV-22 Osprey on the flight deck aboard the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) during training. Kearsarge is the flagship for the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group (ARG). The Kearsarge ARG, along with the embarked 22nd MEU, is prepared to respond to contingencies and to defend U.S. forces and interests in the region.
