Ninth grade students Ashley Reeves (left) and Haley Gasaway (right) at Pontotoc City High School School check out the remains of the Mini-EOD robot after getting hit by an improvised explosive device in theater. EOD stands for Explosive Ordinance Disposal. The 35 pound Mini-EOD can be worn on the back for dismounted patrols then sent out to gather information day or night via its four 312 times zoom infrared cameras. The Mini-EOD, like other military robots, is designed to travel over rough terrain to save American lives.
