Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Bayu Hailu, a laboratory technician assigned to Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton (NHCP), examines specimen samples with a microscope in the hospital's lab. NHCP is one of ten military treatment facilities overseen by Navy Medicine West (NMW). Throughout the region, NMW provides medical care to nearly 700,000 beneficiaries throughout the West Coast of the U.S., Asia, and the Pacific.
