The Martin Luther King Jr. Corridor was established along Mesa Boulevard near the Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School in Oceanside, Calif. Dozens of community members marched to honor of King and Black History Month during a commemoration, Feb. 25.
The march also involved a rededication of the “King Sculptures,” which are made up of 14 pieces of art installed 11 years ago. Since that time, two of the pieces went missing and the other three were in need of repair. The event involved the unveiling of the two missing pieces and the presentation of refurbished art pieces.
