Community members march along the newly named Martin Luther King Jr. Corridor to pay tribute to Black History Month in Oceanside, Calif., Feb. 25. The corridor passes by Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School and the park.
“Because of the proximity of the school, the park and the art pieces along Mesa Boulevard, I asked the city to proclaim this as the Martin Luther King Jr. Corridor,” said Reginald Owens, the present publicity chair for the North County branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
