190425-N-NB178-2041 CHUUK, Federated States of Micronesia (April 25, 2019) His Excellency President Peter Christian, president of the Federated States of Micronesia, recognizes U.S. Army Spc. Rally Gilmete from Pohnpei, Micronesia, U.S. Navy Information Systems Technician 2nd Class KN Nethon from Uman, Micronesia, and U.S. Army Sgt. Joseia Lemari, a Xavier High School graduate, during the closing ceremony aboard the Military Sealift Command expeditionary fast transport ship USNS Brunswick (T-EPF 6), strengthening strategic partnerships during Pacific Partnership 2019. Pacific Partnership, now in its 14th iteration, is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific. Each year, the mission team works collectively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase stability and security in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships in the Indo-Pacific.
