A close-up photograph of a vintage Cadillac automobile's front grille and hood ornament. The image prominently features the classic Cadillac crest/shield emblem with its distinctive heraldic design, mounted on a chrome wing ornament above horizontal chrome grille bars. The vehicle appears to be in excellent, well-preserved condition with a dark green or black painted hood.

The 1938 Cadillac Model 75 (a full size Cadillac Series 70 V-8 car) varied little from the production model of the era. After the accident, the front end was replaced with a 1939 model made by Cadillac-France. Parts of the grill were locally made, giving the sedan its unique appearance today. Gen. George S. Patton, commander of the 15th Army, was riding in this series 1938 Cadillac when he was fatally injured in a traffic accident in Germany, Dec. 9, 1945. (U.S. Army photo by Capt. Olivia Cobiskey)
