Wounded Warrior East’s Sgt. Ramlee Romoscruz from Daytona, Fla., receives the baton from his teammate during a track and field practice, at the 2012 Marine Corps Trials at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Feb. 18. The Trials are hosted by the USMC Wounded Warrior Regiment and allows active-duty, reserve, veteran and international Marines opportunities to focus on strengthening their bodies and building their confidence. The competition includes sitting volleyball, wheelchair basketball, swimming, cycling, shooting, archery, and track and field. The Trials also provide a forum to select 50 athletes as members of the All-Marine team for the Warrior Games. The Warrior Games, a competition between all branches of service of wounded, ill, and injured service members, will take place in Colorado Springs, Colo., April 30-May 6, 2012.
