U.S. Marines and Sailors with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Female Engagement Team, respond to a simulated injury as a part of a nine-line medical evacation drill in preparation for an upcoming combat marksmanship range. During the range training, Marines and Sailors will exchange combat tactics, techniques, and procedures with foreign troops. Marines and Sailors with the 22nd MEU and Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group are deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
