U.S. Marine Sgt. Tracey Rodriguez, center, a combat engineer, and Sgt. Nicole Turner, a heavy equipment mechanic, both with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), review weapon carry positons with Female Engagement Team Marines in preparation for an upcomming combat marksmanship range. During the range training, Marines and Sailors will exchange combat tactics, techniques, and procedures with foreign troops. Marines and Sailors with the 22nd MEU and Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group are deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
